Exploding Box - India

This box was commissioned by Mark, for his wife Kate. He was quite clear that her passion was travel and especially India.

The arched 'doorways' were cut using the Sizzix small tag die.

The background stamps I made myself. They were based on ceremonial henna (mehndi) hand paintings

  5. I came across your blog today via the crafty Blog site and am stunned by how beautiful all your boxes are. I'm not surprised that you call them magic!
I'll have to keep returning to see how to do all the various aspects of constructing these boxes. I've only made one exploding box, but that was much more traditional. Yours are SO opulent!
    Wonderful!

I subscribed right away. Can't wait to see what else you make. GREAT work. I, too, would like to know how you made your own background stamp. It's a beautiful design.
